Amanda Lynn Webster of Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, United States has died. She was 44.
Webster was an alumna of Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in Indianapolis. She is Pamela Webster‘s daughter.
Amanda was an art teacher at Thompson Crossing Elementary School in Indianapolis. On October 4, 2023, she went on a vacation and stayed at Casa Parcha in Camino Viejo, Naguabo, Puerto Rico, which is near El Yunque National Park.
On October 11, 2023, Amanda failed to check out of Casa Parcha and her belongings and her rental car were left at the property. The landlord reported her missing that day.
On October 13, 2023, Puerto Rico police commissioner Antonio Lopez Figueroa activated an Ashanti Alert, asking Puerto Rican residents to help search for the Indianapolis woman. On October 14, 2023, her body was found in the river in Río Blanco, Camino Viejo.
Amanda’s brother traveled to Camino Viejo to help identify the body. On October 26, 2023, the Puerto Rico Forensic Sciences Institute corroborated through deoxyribonucleic analysis that the body is that of her.
