Mikel Fort, 38, of Logansport, Cass County, Indiana, United States is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile female. The girl’s mother Amanda Sayger, 36, of Twelve Mile, Adams Township, Cass County is accused of being a co-conspirator in the assault.
At 2:30 p.m. on October 25, 2023, detectives with the Logansport Police Department arrested Sayger at her residence in Twelve Mile. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department assisted the detectives.
At 8:30 p.m., Logansport Police Department detectives arrested Fort in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. The Fort Wayne Police Department assisted the detectives.
How Fort and Sayger are related is unclear. Both suspects were booked into the Cass County Jail in Logansport.
Fort was charged with child molestation and conspiracy to commit child molestation. Both charges are Level 1 felonies.
Sayger was also charged with conspiracy to commit child molestation. Moreover, she was charged with promotion of child sexual trafficking, a Level 3 felony, and neglect of a dependent, a Level 6 felony.
