“The Black Phone 2” will be released on June 27, 2005, Universal Pictures has confirmed. There are still no information about the cast and the plot of the horror sequel film.
‘The Black Phone‘
Scott Derrickson directed “The Black Phone“, which was theatrically released in the United States on June 24, 2022. He co-wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill.
Jason Blum produced “The Black Phone” for Blumhouse Productions. It is a film adaptation of Joe Hill‘s short story of the same name, which was released in 2004.
In the horror film, Ethan Hawke played a child abductor and murderer who kidnapped a boy played by Mason Thames. E. Roger Mitchell and Troy Rudeseal played detectives while Miguel Cazarez Mora, Tristan Pravong, Jacob Moran, Banks Repeta and Brady Hepner played murder victims.
‘Leave the World Behind‘
Sam Esmail wrote and directed “Leave the World Behind“. He co-produced the psychological thriller film with Marisa Yeres Gill, Lisa Gillan, Chad Hamilton and Julia Roberts.
The film is about a couple played by Hawke and Roberts and their two children played by Charlie Evans and Farrah Mackenzie. The family rented a luxurious house for a weekend vacation.
In the evening, two strangers played by Mahershala Ali and Myha’la Herrold went to the house, which the claimed to be theirs. The two strangers told the family about a mysterious cyberattack and sought refuge in the house.
“Leave the World Behind” will be released in select theaters on November 22, 2023 and on Netflix on December 8, 2023. It was based on Rumaan Alam‘s novel of the same name, which was released in 2020.
