Steven Edward Riley, Jr. of Minot, Ward County, North Dakota, United States has died. He was 51.

Riley and his girlfriend Ina Thea Kenoyer, 47, lived in the same residence in Minot. They started dating in 2013.

On September 3, 2023, Riley met with a lawyer to finalize his receipt of an inheritance worth $30 million. He was accompanied by Kenoyer and their friends.

On September 4, 2023, Thoyer called 911. Paramedics arrived at their residence in Minot and found Riley unresponsive.

Riley was brought to Trinity Hospital in Minot and was later transferred to a hospital in Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota. On September 5, 2023, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An autopsy revealed that Riley died of poisoning from ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze. He was poisoned allegedly by Thoyer.

When authorities searched Riley and Thoyer’s residence in Minot, they found in the living room a Windex window cleaner bottle with green liquid inside, which is believed to be antifreeze. In the garage, they found a glass Coors Light beer bottle and a plastic mug, both suspected of containing antifreeze.
