Brittany Renee Dunaway, 35, of Sulphur, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, United States has been arrested. She is accused of being involved in a child sex trafficking case in 2022.

Details about Dunaway’s involvement in the case have yet to be released. On the afternoon of October 30, 2023, she was arrested by Sulphur Police Department officers.

Bond for Dunaway was set at $900,000. She was charged with one count of trafficking of children for sexual purposes and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish.

On February 9, 2017, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police, the Louisiana Alcohol Tobacco Control, Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at Club Cabaret in Westlake, Calcasieu Parish. It was a result of numerous complaints of prostitution, theft, illegal narcotics activity and alcohol compliance issues taking place at the club. 

Dunaway was issued a summons for felony and misdemeanor charges namely possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and having no parish bar card. She was released due to health conditions:

Derek L. Williams, then 27, of Westlake and Dunaway’s fellow Sulphur residents Rene O. Diaz, then 33, and Jonathan J. Mejia, then 33, were arrested. The three suspects were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
