Jason Arthur Bergener, 43, of Ammon, Bonneville County, Idaho, United States is a registered sex offender who previously lived in Taylorsville, Utah, USA. He has lived in different parts of Texas, USA including Humble, Spring, Pearland and Houston.
Bergener is 5’8″ tall. His registered weight is 175 pounds.
Aside from Ammon, Bergener has lived in other parts of Idaho including Idaho Falls and Coeur d’Alene. In 2004, he was convicted of felony statutory rape of a female under 18 in Kootenai County, Idaho.
On October 10, 2023, a detective with the Idaho Falls Police Department was assigned to investigate a cyber tip about 15 videos containing child sexual abuse material uploaded to a cloud account in Idaho Falls. Ultimately, the detective found a total of 24 videos and 245 more files all containing CSAM and identified the person viewing the content as Bergener.
In the videos, adults raped children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old and forced them to engage in bestiality. On October 12, 2023, the detective was granted a search warrant for Bergener’s Synchronoss personal cloud account.
On the same day, the detective and went to Bergener’s residence in Ammon with a Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputy. However, the registered sex offender was not there.
On October 30, 2023, Bergener was arrested by investigators with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, the Idaho Falls Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations assisted the unit with the arrest.
Bond for Bergener was set at $500,000. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail in Idaho Falls and charged with five counts of felony possessing or accessing child sexually exploitative material.
