Jennifer Paige Blanchard, 38, of Seymour, Tennessee, United States previously lived in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee. She used to work as a golf coach at Northview Academy in Kodak, Sevier County, Tennessee.
Moreover, Blanchard worked as a teacher at Sevierville Primary School in Sevierville, Sevier County and Seymour Primary School in Seymour. She has worked in the youth ministry at Seymour United Methodist Church in Seymour.
In 2017, Blanchard allegedly sexually assaulted a Northview Academy student while she was employed as a golf coach at the school. When the alleged crime was committed, the student was a juvenile.
The alleged victim is now an adult. On June 1, 2021, Blanchard resigned from her job in Northview Academy.
In June 2023, the Sevier County School System informed the Sevierville Police Department about the allegation. The department immediately started an investigation.
On October 30, 2023, a sealed presentment was issued in the case. On October 31, 2023, Blanchard was arrested in Seymour by Sevierville Police Department officers.
Blanchard was charged with statutory rape by an authority figure. Until November 1, 2023, she had been working in the youth ministry at Concord United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
