Luis Gustavo Aroyo Lopez, 24, of Santa Rosa is Soledad’s grandson. She raised him when she was a child.
Growing up, Luis allegedly started to use meth. At one point, Soledad had to report him to police for stealing money and a passport from a relative.
Recently, Luis was released from state prison in California and placed on post-release community supervision. After the release, he allegedly decapitated Soledad in her residence in Santa Rosa.
Luis allegedly left the residence with Soledad’s head. At around 3:40 p.m. on November 2, 2023, Santa Rosa Police Department went to the residence and found her headless body inside.
The number 420 and a marijuana leaf are tattooed on Luis’s head. He is 5’6″ tall and he weighs around around 150 pounds.
At around 7:30 a.m. on November 4, 2023, Luis was arrested at the San Francisco Transbay Terminal in San Francisco, California by San Francisco Police Department officers. Whether or not Soledad’s head has been known has yet to be announced.
