Giovanni Impellizzeri, 25, worked as a janitor at Elizabeth Moore School in Seabrook, Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States. It is attended by students between third and fifth grade.
In September 2019, the school hired Impellizzeri. The school is part of the Upper Deerfield School District.
While employed as a janitor, Impellizzeri allegedly recorded videos of himself doing disturbing acts at the school with the intention to harm students. He is accused of lacing the food in the canteen with bleach and bodily fluids including saliva, urine and feces.
Impellizzeri allegedly went on to post the videos to Telegram. The videos allegedly showed him wiping his penis with bread that was later given to children, putting bleach in food and masturbating on pillows and kitchen bowls.
On October 30, 2023, officials of the school contacted the police after receiving a tip about social media posts showing how Impellizzeri performed sex acts with inanimate objects at the school. On October 31, 2023, he was arrested and charged with child endangerment, aggravated assault and tampering with the food.
Currently, Impellizzeri is in hospital. Samples were collected from him to see if he has any diseases that could have been transmitted.
After the arrest, the Upper Deerfield School District placed Impellizzeri on leave. On November 5, 2023, he will attend a detention hearing.
