Daniel Allen, 25, of Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, United States is accused of sending explicit images of children engaged in sex acts via Snapchat. An internet cloud storage provider sent the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department an online tip about the images.
A search warrant for the contents of Allen’s Snapchat account was issued. The detectives who searched the account found two videos of minors engaged in sex acts.
When confronted by the detectives, Allen admitted to owning the Snapchat account and to sending the explicit videos. There are still no details about the recipient or recipients of the videos.
An iPhone was also taken from Allen. The detectives found more graphic pictures of children engaged in sexual activity in the device.
On November 7, 2023, Allen was arrested. He was charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The investigation is ongoing and Allen may face more charges, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. His mugshot has yet to be released.
