Joey Fournier, 52, Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, 37, Chavis Demaryo Stokes, 29, and Marc Kerry Anderson, 25, are inmates at Bibb County Jail in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia, United States. Macon is around 153 miles away from Rome, Floyd County, Georgia.
On February 21, 2022, Fournier allegedly fatally strangled his former girlfriend Cynthia “Cindy” Rogers Berry in the Barrington Hall subdivision in Macon then hid in his brother’s residence in Rome. She was 49.
On February 22, 2022, the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Fournier. His brother was also arrested and charged with harboring a fugitive, which was later dropped.
At around 3:30 a.m. on October 16, 2023, Fournier, Barnwell, Stokes and Anderson escaped from the Bibb County Jail. At around 6:30 a.m., authorities became aware the four inmates were gone.
On October 26, 2023, Stokes was arrested at a resident in Montezuma, Macon County. On November 3, 2023, Anderson was arrested at the Huntley Apartments in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.
Just after 8:00 a.m. on November 11, 2023, Barnwell was arrested at a residence in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with the Bibb County Sheriff‘s Office Gang Unit and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. Large quantities of meth, fentanyl, heroin, marijuana and cocaine were found in the residence.
Fournier is still at large. He is 5’9″ tall and he weighs 140 pounds.
