Tatum L. Goodwin of San Clemente, Orange County, California, United States has died. She was 27.
Goodwin is Kaylee Goodwin‘s sister. They are Stacy Goodwin-Pitino‘s daughters.
In 2019, Tatum joined Carmelita’s, a Mexican restaurant in Laguna Beach, Orange County, as an assistant manager. The restaurant is owned by Marcos Salim Heredia.
At around 11:00 p.m. on November 11, 2023, Tatum finished her shift and joined her friends at Hennessey’s Tavern, a bar Carmelita’s. Later that night, they went to the Marine Room, another bar in the seaside resort city.
That evening, Tatum was murdered allegedly by Dino Rojas-Moreno, 26, of Laguna Hills, Orange County. Whether or not they knew each other is still unclear.
At around 8:20 a.m. on November 12, 2023, a construction worker found Tatum dead in an alleyway behind Carmelita’s restaurant and an old movie theater. Her body showed signs of trauma consistent with homicide, according to the Laguna Beach Police Department.
On November 15, 2023, Rojas-Moreno was arrested by the Laguna Beach Police Department with the help of the police departments of Anaheim, Orange County and Newport Beach, Orange County.
Bail for Rojas-Moreno was set at $1 million. The Orange County Coroner’s Division has yet to determine Tatum’s cause of death.
