Ashellica Fahie biography: 13 things about Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023

Ashellica A. L. S. S. Fahie is a legal manager, a business owner and a beauty queen from Lambert Estate, East End, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. She is into financial literacy and mental health awareness.

In 2006, Fahie graduated from Willard Wheatley Primary School in Parham Town, East. In 2011, she graduated from Elmore Stout High School in Road Town, Tortola.

In 2013, Fahie graduated from H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in Paraquita Bay, Tortola with a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in humanities. In 2014, she entered the University of Manchester in Manchester, England to pursue a law degree but transition did not work out very well for her so she withdrew in her first semester and came back to the British Virgin Islands.

From 2015 to 2018, Fahie attended the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill in Cave Hill, Barbados where she earned her law degree. From 2019 to 2020, she attended BPP Law School in London, England where she earned her master’s degree in law.

Fahie has qualifications as an international civil and commercial mediator from Alternative Dispute Resolution-Online Dispute Resolution (ADR-ODR) International, which is based in London. Here are 13 more things about her:

1. On October 1, 2011, she won Miss BVI Teen 2011 at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium of H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.
2. On December 29, 2011, she represented the British Virgin Islands at the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant and competed against 11 other candidates at the Sugar Mill stadium in Warner Park, Saint Kitts and Nevis. She was second runner-up to Siobhan Phipps of St. Kitts and Nevis. 
3. From April 2013 to July 2015, she worked for Lotus Corporate Services as a corporate administrator.
4. From March 2015 to July 2017, she worked in the British Virgin Islands as a part-time waitress.
5. From May 2016 to August 2017, she worked for Transformation Church International in the British Virgin Islands as an office assistant.
6. From July 2018 to July 2019, she worked for Harneys in the British Virgin Islands as a legal secretary.
7. From August 2020 to April 2021, she was a legal cadet at the office of the British Virgin Islands’ director of public prosecutions.
8. In December 2020, she launched her own business called Buzinga! Fun and Games, which provides board games and jumbo game rentals in the British Virgin Islands.
9. In February 2021, she received from the ADR ODR International her certification as a mediator. From April 2021 to October 2022, she was a crown counsel at the office of the British Virgin Islands’ director of public prosecutions.
10. In March 2022, she joined Arawak BVI as a salesperson.
11. In October 2022, she joined Dentons in the British Virgin Islands as a legal manager.
12. On August 20, 2023, she competed against two other Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023 at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium of H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. She won the title.
13. She was 28 years old when she represented the British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2023 on November 18, 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. She was unplaced.
