Charles Vincent Hojaboom, 19, and Brandon Ngoc Pham, 19, are students of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States.
Pham is 5’9″ tall. He is 180 pounds.
Hojaboom is 5’6″ tall. He weighs 140 pounds.
At around 10:15 p.m. on November 11, 2023, Cal Poly Police Department officers responded to the sound of gunshots in Poly Canyon Village, San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County. They found Pham and Hojaboom along Poly Canyon Road in the village in possession of a loaded pistol and shotgun and arrested the two students.
The officers found on Poly Canyon Road a campus sign that had bullet holes. No injuries were reported.
At 6:12 a.m. on November 12, 2023, Pham was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail in San Luis Obispo. At 6:45 a.m., Hojaboom was booked into the same jail.
The two Cal Poly students were booked on both felony and misdemeanor charges for possession of weapons and vandalism. They have since bailed out of jail.
Both Pham and Hojaboom are barred from campus. During a search of their on-campus residences, officers located and confiscated additional weapons.
