Angel Avila, 18, of Socorro, El Paso County, Texas, United States was arrested again. He is accused of being involved in a house party shooting in El Paso, El Paso County.

On December 29, 2022, Avila was arrested for having a prohibited weapon. On June 2, 2023, he was arrested for unlawfully carrying of a weapon.

Whether or not Avila attended Montwood High School in El Paso has yet to be confirmed. He is accused of being involved in the shooting that took place at around 1:00 a.m. on September 17, 2023 at a Montwood High School homecoming after party at a Vrbo short-term rental home in El Paso.

An El Paso man, 19, a Socorro man, 18, and an El Paso boy, 16, were wounded. Eliel Omar Bultron Hernandez, 19, and Julia Worthington, 14, were fatally shot.

Hernandez graduated from Options High School in El Paso. Worthington was a student at Pebble Hills High School in El Paso.

On November 16, 2023, a warrant was issued for Avila’s arrest. On November 17, 2023, he was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service and booked into the El Paso County Jail in El Paso.

Bond for Avila was set at $2 million. He is facing a charge of capital murder.
