Mark Smith served as the referee. He stopped the bantamweight contest after 58 seconds in the third round when Talbott submitted Aguirre via rear-naked choke.

This is Aguirre’s second UFC fight and second loss in the promotion. The loss downgraded his professional MMA record to 7 wins and 2 losses.

On the other hand, Talbott now has 7 wins and 0 loss. “UFC Vegas 82” marked his first professional MMA win via submission.

As an amateur MMA fighter, Talbott defeated Ernesto Villegas on March 16, 2018, Joseph Lee on August 25, 2018, Taylor Cuisnot on July 13, 2019, Cameron Sandoval on November 16, 2019 and Alex Gamez on August 21, 2021. On November 27, 2021, Talbott made his professional MMA debut.

On August 8, 2023, Talbott earned his sixth professional MMA win at “Dana White’s Contender Series 2023” Week 1 at the UFC Apex in Enterprise. He defeated Reyes Cortez Jr. via unanimous decision.
