Parwiz Assar of Hayward, Alameda County, California, United States has died. He was 51.
Assar was the husband of Razma Mohammad-Ibrahim, 35, of Hayward. They got married in 2011.
In December 2022, Mohammad-Ibrahim met Samim Azizi, then 20, of Washington, USA. They became involved in an extramarital affair while she and Assar were having marital problems.
Azizi and Mohammad-Ibrahim allegedly planned to kill Assar so she could end her marriage to be with her new lover. She and Assar have children, who are minors.
Mohammad-Ibrahim allegedly wanted to have all the family assets and full custody of her children. At around 10:20 p.m. on October 8, 2023, Assar was fatally stabbed in Hayward allegedly by his wife and Azizi.
On October 31, 2023, Azizi was arrested in Seattle, Washington and booked into the King County Jail in Seattle. He is awaiting extradition to California.
On November 15, 2023, Mohammad-Ibrahim was arrested in Hayward. She was booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, Alameda County.
Both Azizi and Mohammad-Ibrahim are being held without bail. They were each charged with murder.
