Geoffrey Kay-Conway Sr., 52, of King of Prussia, Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States is accused of stalking and threatening his estranged wife. This was after she filed a protection order against him in October 2023.
After violating the order, Kay-Conway was arrested and charged with indirect criminal contempt. He was released on $5,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2023.
After Kay-Conway was released, he placed a tracker on his estranged wife’s car, according to the Upper Merion Township Police Department. On November 19, 2023, he followed her in the parking lot of a Walmart in King of Prussia.
While the wife was inside of a Nissan Rogue in the parking lot, she was repeatedly stabbed in the leg allegedly by Kay-Conway. He allegedly tried to kidnap her but was interrupted by a bystander.
Shortly after, Upper Merion Township Police officers found Kay-Conway in a nearby parking lot and arrested him. When he was arrested, a large metal pick was sticking out of his sweatshirt pocket with black zip ties in the shape of handcuffs.
In a nearby pickup truck, the officers found a black duffle bag with a manila envelope that contained a two-page letter addressed to Kay-Conway’s brother. Also in the bag were several other items including knives, pliers, zip ties, wire cutters, three piercing tools, KY jelly, duct tape, a blindfold, a court order and a black pepper ball gun with two magazines.
In the letter, Kay-Conway detailed how he had been following his estranged wife and how he planned to rape and kill her. He wrote that if he could not “do it on an ideal day, it will happen the weekend before Thanksgiving somewhere around town.”
Kay-Conway was charged with attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, attempted rape, aggravated assault, stalking, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, possessing an instrument of crime and more related charges
On November 20, 2023, Kay-Conway was arraigned on several charges including attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, attempted rape, aggravated assault, stalking, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and possessing an instrument of crime and was denied bail.
