Hanme Kim Clark, 45, of Westcliffe, Custer County, Colorado, United States has been arrested. He is accused of shooting his fellow Westcliffe residents Beth Wade Geers, 73, her husband Robert Geers, 63, and another couple from Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.
Aside from Westcliffe, Clark has lived in other parts of Colorado including Arvada and Westminster. He once competed as a mixed martial artist.
On December 1, 2007, Clark fought Jay Wymer in an amateur MMA bout in the middleweight division at “Ring of Fire 31: Undisputed” at the Broomfield Event Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The Westcliffe resident won via technical knockout via punches.
According to Pancrase Mixed Martial Arts, Clark is a black belt in taekwondo and a three-time national kendo champion. He is 6’3″ tall, he weighs 185 pounds and his fight name is The Ruiner.
After an apparent dispute over property lines at around 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 2023, Clark allegedly opened fire on Beth, Robert, Patty Jean Daulton, 56, Daulton’s husband James Patrick Daulton, 58, and another person near a residence on Rocky Ridge Road in a wooded area in Westcliffe. The fifth person, who was not identified, managed to escape and was not shot.
Beth, Robert and James were pronounced dead. Patty was in critical condition but is expected to survive after being treated for her injuries at a Level 1 trauma center in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.
Clark allegedly fled the scene. After the shooting, his white Ram 1500 pickup was spotted at a Walmart in Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado.
Just after 2:45 p.m. on November 21, 2023, Clark was arrested without incident during a high-risk felony traffic stop near Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico, USA by the New Mexico State Police while he was in his Ram pickup with his girlfriend Nancy Rae Medina-Kochis, 50. He was charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
Medina-Kochis was accused of being an accessory to a crime and was also arrested. She and Clark were booked into the Bernalillo County Detention Center in Albuquerque awaiting extradition to Colorado.
