Dale John Warner, 55, of Tipton, Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, United States has been charged in connection with his wife Dee Ann Warner‘s disappearance. When they got married in 2006, she already had four children from a previous marriage.
On the evening of April 24, 2021, a family friend saw Dee at her residence in Tipton. She was 52 when three of her children reported her missing on April 25, 2021.
Dee owns a trucking company and a farming business. Before she disappeared, she, Dale and at least one employee had a dispute related to business.
On same day, Dale told Dee’s brother Gregg Hardy that she left that day with a phone, a travel bag, a curling iron and hair spray. Dale and Dee have one daughter, who is a minor.
On April 25, 2023, Michigan State Police officials wearing wet suits looked for Dee. They searched drain culverts and other locations along Michigan Highway 50.
On April 27, 2023, investigators continued the search for Dee on Dale and Dee’s property in Tipton wth the help of cadaver dogs. There was a house fire in the same location shortly after her disappearance.
When the search started, Dale was at the site of the search but he was asked to leave. The investigators used excavators to dig up farm field on the property and the search ended without any evidence collected.
On November 21, 2023, Dale was arrested and booked into the Lenawee County Jail in Adrian, Lenawee County. On November 22, 2023, he was arraigned in Lenawee County District Court in Adrian on open murder and tampering with evidence charges.
Represented by Mary Chartier, Dale pleaded not guilty to both charges. The judge set his bond at $20 million.
Authorities have yet to find Dee’s body. On November 26, 2023, her family will hold a rally in Adrian to bring awareness and encourage authorities to take action on the case.
On November 29, 2023, Dale will attend a probable cause conference. According to him, he last saw Dee on April 25, 2021, the same day prosecutors believe he killed her.
