Originally from Danvers, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States, Kayla Harrison, 33, is fighting out of Coconut Creek, Broward County, Florida, USA. She is currently in Washington, D.C., USA where she earned her 15th Professional Fighters League victory.

Harrison is 5’8″ tall. As a professional mixed martial artist, she competes in the lightweight division.

2023 PFL World Championship

The PFL held the world championship of its 2023 season at The Anthem in in Southwest Waterfront, Washington, D.C. on November 24, 2023. The partnership between the league and DUDE Wipes started during the event and will continue in 2024.

There were 11 matches on the card including six title bouts. The main card had seven bouts and the preliminary card had four bouts.

One of the bouts on the main card was between Harrison and former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Aspen Ladd, 28, of Folsom, Sacramento County, California, USA. They battled it out at a catch weight of 150 pounds.

Derek Brunson vs Ray Cooper III

Jerin Valel served as the referee of the catchweight bout between Harrison and Ladd at the 2023 PFL World Championship. After three 5-minute rounds, the referee raised the hand of the athlete fighting out of Coconut Creek, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

The loss downgraded Ladd’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 5 losses. She competed in the UFC from October 2017 to April 2022.

On the other hand, Harrison now has 16 wins and 1 loss. On November 25, 2022, she lost to Larissa Pacheco via unanimous decision in the 2022 PFL Women’s Lightweight Championship title bout.

A total of six countries were represented at the 2023 PFL World Championship, namely Brazil, Canada, Peru, Russia, Sweden and the U.S. Harrison and Ladd were two of the 13 fighters from the U.S.
