Brazilian mixed martial artist Larissa Pacheco, 29, is currently in Washington, D.C., United States. Fighting out of Belem, Para, Brazil, she has just earned her 12th Professional Fighters League victory and is now $1 million richer.

Born in Belem, Pacheco made her professional MMA debut on April 13, 2012 in Marituba, Brazil. On May 9, 2019, she made her PFL debut.

On August 18, 2023, Pacheco fought “Cannon” Olena Kolesnyk, 33, of Odessa, Ukraine in the semifinal round of the 2023 PFL Women’s Featherweight Tournament in New York City, New York, USA. The Brazilian MMA fighter defeated her Ukrainian opponent via technical knockout.

2023 PFL World Championship

The PFL held the world championship of its 2023 season at The Anthem in in Southwest Waterfront, Washington, D.C. on November 24, 2023. The event inaugurated the partnership between the league and DUDE Wipes, which will continue in 2024.

There were 11 matches on the card including six title bouts. The main card had seven bouts and the preliminary card had four bouts.

One of the title bouts was the 2023 PFL Women’s Featherweight Championship match between Pacheco and Marina Mokhnatkina, 35, of Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Russian MMA fighter submitted Amber Leibrock, 32, of Hayward, California, USA in the semifinal round on August 18, 2023.

Larissa Pacheco vs Marina Mokhnatkina

Kevin Mulhall served as the referee of the title bout between Pacheco and Mokhnatkina at the 2023 PFL World Championship. After five 5-minute rounds, the referee raised the hand of the Brazilian MMA fighter, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

The loss downgraded Mokhnatkina’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 4 losses. She made her professional MMA debut on June 17, 2016 and her PFL debut on August 19, 2021.

On the other hand, Pacheco now has 23 wins and 4 losses. She was the 2022 PFL Women’s Lightweight Champion.

A total of six countries were represented at the 2023 PFL World Championship, namely Brazil, Canada, Peru, Russia, Sweden and the U.S. Pacheco was one of the three fighters from Brazil and Mokhnatkina was one of the three fighters from Russia.
