Alejandra Ibarra, 31, has been arrested. She and Gustavo Ramblas, 46, are accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 16 in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, United States between 2021 and April 2023.
The girl is a family member of Ibarra and an acquaintance of Ramblas. While they were living in Calcasieu Parish, Ibarra allegedly encouraged the child to be sexually active with Ramblas.
On several occasions, Ibarra and Ramblas allegedly would give the child narcotics before sexually assaulting the child. Ibarra allegedly told the victim that he would take care of her and give her money.
In April 2023, the police department of Lake Charlses, Calcasieu Parish arrested Ramblas for unrelated charges. He was booked into the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement‘s processing center in Pine Prairie, Evangeline Parish, Louisiana.
In July 2023, detectives with the special victims unit of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Children’s Safe Harbor Advocacy Center in reference to the abuse of the girl. The investigation revealed that the girl was a victim of sexual abuse and physical abuse.
On October 31, 2023, Judge G. Michael Canaday of the 14th Judicial District, Division G in Calcasieu Parish issued a warrant in the amount of $2,150,000 each for the arrest of Ibarra and Ramblas. The two suspects are each charged with first-degree rape, cruelty to juveniles and human trafficking for sexual purposes.
On November 21, 2023, Ramblas was transferred to the Calcasieu Correctional Center in Lake Charles. On the same day, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office announced that Ibarra’s whereabouts were unknown and she may possibly be in Houston, Texas, USA.
On December 2, 2023, Ibarra was arrested in Harris County, Texas by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. She was booked into the Harris County Detention Facility in Houston.
