Stockton Kings releases Chance Comanche after his arrest in Sacramento, California; Where are Marayna Rogers and Sakari Harnden?

Marayna Rodgers of Lynnwood, Snohomish County, Washington, United States has died. She was 23.

Rodgers was found dead in a desert area in Henderson, Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada. She was kidnapped and murdered allegedly by Chance Comanche, 27, of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA and his girlfriend Sakari Harnden, 19, of Las Vegas, Clark County.

Comanche played for the Stockton Kings of the G League, the official minor league organization of the National Basketball Association. The team is based in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California.

On April 4, 2023, Rodgers joined Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, King County, Washington as a scrub nurse. On October 10, 2023, he joined PHP Agency in Seattle, King County as a field agent.

On December 5, 2023, Rodgers visited Las Vegas with friends and had a pre-arranged meeting with Harnden, who would bring Comanche. That day, the Stockton Kings played the G-league Ignite at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson.

At 3:32 p.m. on December 7, 2023, Comanche and Harnden went to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report Rodgers missing. Also that day, the Stockton Kings played the Rip City Remix in Portland, Oregon, USA.

On December 13, 2023, Harnden was arrested in Las Vegas on a first-degree kidnapping charge and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas. On December 14, 2023, her bail was set by Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Diana Sullivan at $500,000.

On the morning of December 15, 2023, a warrant for Comanche’s arrest for first-degree kidnapping was issued in Las Vegas Justice Court in Las Vegas. Later that day, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents arrested him in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California and booked him into the Sacramento County Jail in Sacramento.

On the afternoon of December 19, 2023, Comanche will appear in court in Sacramento County. That day, Harnden will have a status check for a theft charge not related to Rodgers’ disappearance.

On December 28, 2023, Harnden will attend a preliminary hearing. She is represented by a public defender.
