Shawn Landry, 25, is accused of breaking into a residence in Louisiana, United States in November 2023. He allegedly raped and tried to kill his victim during the home invasion.
While wanted out of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, Landry hid in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, USA. He was charged with home invasion, simple assault, false imprisonment, theft of a motor vehicle, second-degree rape and attempted second-degree murder.
The U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force located Landry at an apartment complex in the area of Desert Inn and Mojave roads in Las Vegas. He was arrested there at around 12:50 p.m. on December 19, 2023.
Landry was booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas. He will be extradited to Louisiana.
