Suren Seetal of Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States has died. He was 36.
In March 2021, Seetal joined SpeedJets in Miami, Miami-Dade County as an aircraft maintenance technician. In January 2022, he joined Executive Air Services in Opa-Locka, Miami-Dade County as an aviation maintenance technician.
Seetal, Somjeet Christopher Singh, 29, of Broward County, Florida and Avin “Smalls” Seetaram, 24, of Broward County were partners in a business that bought and sold fireworks. Singh has a heating, ventilation and air conditioning business in Miramar, Broward County.
Seetaram owed Singh $10,000 while Singh owed owed Seetal $315,000. Gavin Hunter, 18, of Broward County works for Singh.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Seetal was lured to his death at a warehouse in Singh’s HVAC business in Miramar. Singh allegedly gave Seetaram $5,000 to pay Hunter to kill Seetal.
On November 2, 2023, Seetal left work at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport in Miami and went to Singh’s HVAC business in Miramar where he was fatally shot allegedly by Hunter. After the murder, the $10,000 debt Seetaram owed Singh was forgiven.
At around 2:15 a.m. on November 23, 2023, Seetal’s car was towed from Singh’s HVAC business in Miramar. Later that day, Seetaram and Signh drove to a Home Depot where they bought a 96-gallon yard waste cart for $124 in cash.
On November 21, 2023, Seetal’s partially decomposed body was found in a wooded area at the Big Cypress Indian Reservation in Broward County with a gunshot wound to the head.
On December 18, 2023, a federal grand jury indicted Singh, Seetaram and Hunter. They were each charged wit kidnapping, kidnapping conspiracy, murder for hire, murder for hire conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
On December 28, 2023, Seetaram will appear in court. Hunter and Singh will make their first court appearances on January 2, 2023 and on January 3, 2023, respectively.
