Sandra Spraker, 45, of Wellington, Larimer County, Colorado, United States is a former child welfare caseworker. She was recently arrested.
In April 2022, the Larimer County Department of Human Services hired Spraker. In October 2022, she started working as a child protection services caseworker.
After noticing performance concerns, supervisors started reviewing cases assigned to Spraker. They found significant inconsistencies in her official documentation.
Among the inconsistencies were requests for reimbursement for travel that never happened and falsified case reports. Subsequently, a criminal investigation was launched by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
On September 8, 2023, Spraker was placed on administrative leave. On September 15, 2023, she resigned.
On December 29, 2023, Spraker was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins, Larimer County. She was charged with theft, embezzlement of public property, 10 counts of attempt to influence a public servant, 29 counts of forgery, 29 counts of first-degree official misconduct and 29 counts of abuse of public records.
On January 9, 2024, Spraker will appear in court. She was issued a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
