On August 6, 1925, Bolivia declared its independence from Spain, which was recognized on July 21, 1847. On November 14, 1945, Bolivia was admitted to the United Nations.
Luis “Lucho” Arce, 60, is the incumbent and 67th president of Bolivia. He assumed office on November 8, 2020.
