17 men arrested in Turlock, California, booked into Stanislaus County Jail

A total of 17 men were recently arrested in Turlock, Stanislaus County, California, United States. It was part of an online chat operation meant to catch predators targeting children for sexual activity.

The Turlock Police Department conducted the operation from January 5-6, 2024. The department was assisted by the Sacramento Valley Internet Crimes Against Children and the special victims units of the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office and the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

All the 17 arrestees were booked into the Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto, Stanislaus County. Here is the list: 

1. Aaron Doub, 41, of Turlock was charged with contacting a minor with intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex and attempting lewd or lascivious acts with a child.
2. Andrew Godinez, 21, of Delhi, Merced County, California was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex and resisting arrest.
3. Anthony Morrisette, 41, of Oakdale, Stanislaus County was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
4. Antoni Shahbaz Yangejeh, 35, of Turlock was charged with contacting a minor with the intent for sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
5. Armando Cardenas, 32, of Atwater, Merced County was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex and possessing metal knuckles.
6. Bryce Wilkinson, 19, of Modesto was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
7. Cesar Linarez Jr., 25, of Modesto was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
8. Devin Greer Dacanay, 22, of Turlock was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
9. Fernando Delacruz Martinez, 36, of Elverta, Sacramento County, California was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
10. Gerad Slayton, 42, of Modesto was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and arranging to meet with a minor for sex.
11. Jesus Cerna Bernabe, 29, of Newman, Stanislaus County was charged with arranging to meet with a minor for sex and an already existing arrest warrant.
12. Jose Herrera Sanchez, 54, of Stevinson, Merced County was charged with two counts of contacting a minor with the intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex, two counts of inducing a minor to use marijuana and transporting a controlled substance.
13. Juan Viera Jr., 29, of Modesto was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex and possessing matter depicting sexual conduct.
14. Justin Velez, 37, of Modesto was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex, arranging to meet with a minor for sex and soliciting and/or engaging in prostitution.
15. Leopoldo Garcia Aquino, 25, of Livingston, Merced County was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex, and soliciting and/or engaging in prostitution.
16. Mario de Jesus, 37, of Turlock was charged with contacting a minor with the intent of sex and possessing matter depicting sexual conduct.
17. Salvador Nunez, 28, of Turlock was charged with contacting a minor with the intent for sex.
