Four adults and two children last seen at a Quality Inn Hotel in Florissant, St. Louis County, Missouri, United States on August 13, 2023 are missing. Here are their names and ages:
- Ashton Micthell, 2, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, USA
- Gerrielle German, 27, of Horn Lake
- Ma’Kayla Wickerson, 36, of St. Louis, Missouri
- Malaiyah Wickerson, 3, of St. Louis
- Mikayla Thompson, 25, of St. Louis
- Naaman Williams, 30, of Washington, D.C., USA
Ma’Kayla lived in a rental home near St. Louis Lambert International Airport in St. Louis County with the five other missing persons. Their neighbors saw them worshipping the sun outside and coming outside naked when it was raining.
Before living together and disappearing, the six individuals joined the University of Cosmic Intelligence, an antigovernment sect led by Rashad Jamal White, 45, of St. Louis. The sect believes in polygamy and it encourages its followers to go off the grid.
Who is Rashad Jamal White?
White is a self-described musical artist and deity with thousands of followers on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook from different parts of the U.S. He convinced his followers that the Mississippi River is the Nile River, the Grand Canyon is a gateway to Africa, birds are drones operated by the U.S. government to spy on citizens and National Basketball Association players are injected with “nanobot technology”.
Aside from polygamy and conspiracy theories, White also teaches Afrocentrism, esoterism, occultism and nature spiritualism. Some of his followers including Alabama, USA’s Yasmine Hider, Krystal Pinkins and Damien Winslow Washam have been connected with crimes.
On May 4, 2022, White was arrested and jailed in Georgia, USA. He was accused of abusing his previous romantic partner Darshell Smith‘s child.
A Georgia judge sentenced White to 18 years in prison and 22 years on probation. He was convicted of one count of child molestation and one count of first-degree cruelty to children and found not guilty on another count of child molestation.
