Fort St. John, British Columbia’s Sean Gravells released on $2k bail; Why was he arrested?

Sean Edward Leonard Gravells, 39, of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada is a former board president of the North Peace Pride Society, an organization in British Columbia. He was recently arrested.

In 2018, Gravells became the board president for the organization. He was removed from the board after his arrest.

On December 29, 2023, Gravells allegedly committed sexual interference and sexual exploitation in or near Fort St. John. On December 31, 2023, he allegedly possessed child pornography and imported or distributed child pornography in or near the same city.

On January 1, 2024, Gravells made his first court appearance. He was released on $2,000 bail.

On January 3, 2024, Gravells was removed from the North Peace Pride Society’s board. On January 29, 2024, he will be back in court.

“Moving forward, we remain dedicated to community safety,” the North Peace Pride Society stated on January 5, 2024. “We are implementing measures such as subjecting all board members to record checks to uphold the highest standards.”
