Nash G. McMillen, 21, of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, United States had a prior arrest for domestic violence so it is illegal for him to buy a gun.
On July 27, 2022, McMillen was arrested in McCracken County by deputies from the office of the sheriff of Grave County, Kentucky. He was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening and fourth-degree assault.
In August 2022, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputies encountered at a school in McCracken County. He had trespassed at the school.
At around 1:15 p.m. on January 16, 2024, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office received a call about shorts being fired on Albany Street in Paducah. When deputies arrived on scene, they found McMillen target practicing in his backyard.
McMillen was shooting into a book at a downward angle. He was using a handgun he had just purchased.
On January 17, 2024, deputies found out that McMillen had bought the handgun illegally. He was subsequently arrested.
Deputies seized the handgun and other evidence for forensic examination. McMillen was charged with fraudulent firearm transaction.
