Joseph Diepeveen, 20, of Fountain, El Paso County, Colorado, United States is an employee of the British Swim School in Colorado Springs. He is a swim instructor.
While employed by the school, Diepeveen allegedly committed internet child exploitation. Upon learning the allegation, the Fountain Police Department started an investigation.
At around 8:00 a.m. on January 18, 2024, Diepeveen was arrested by detectives with the Fountain Police Department. He was charged with sexual exploitation of children by distribution of material and sexual exploitation of children by video, moving visual images or motion picture.
Diepeveen was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center in Colorado Springs. He is being held without bond.
When Diepeveen attended Fountain-Fort Carson High School in Fountain, he was a member of the school’s swimming and football teams. In May 2022, he graduated from the school.
The school is part of the Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8. Among the alumni of the school are “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts, 42, and National Football League player Morgan Fox, 29.
