Lora Beth Farley of Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States has died. She was 36.
Izak Michael Surface, 21, of Charleston is accused of killing Farley. He is reportedly her former boyfriend.
Surface is 5’11 tall. He weighs around 165 pounds.
On May 15, 2023, Surface was arrested in West Virginia. Details about the arrest are not available.
On July 6, 2023, Surface was arrested in West Virginia for violation of bond. On September 21, 2023, he was arrested again in the same state for domestic battery.
At around 5:00 p.m. on January 18, 2024, Farley was found dead in a residence in Charleston. Surface was immediately named a person of interest.
On January 21, 2023, Surface was arrested and charged with third-offense domestic battery and first-degree murder in Farley’s death. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, according to an autopsy conducted by West Virginia’s medical examiner’s office.
