Gershon “Shon” I. Caston is an American teacher from Dallas, Texas, United States. He was born in Duncanville, Dallas County, Texas and he attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA.

Aside from Dallas and Duncanville, Caston has lived in other parts of Texas including Garland. He previously lived in Los Angeles, California, USA, in Irondale, Alabama, USA and in Montevallo, Alabama.

From 2005 to 2006, Caston played for the men’s basketball team of New Mexico State University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He played in 18 games and finished the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds as a reserve guard.

From 2014 to 2023, Caston taught at multiple middle and high schools in different parts of Texas including Dallas, DeSoto, Duncanville, Garland, Irving and Lancaster. Aside from teaching, he also worked as a youth basketball coach.

  11. He, Lamorris Hudspeth, then 47, Adarius Staples, then 33, and Amber Gords, then 30, are accused of being involved in the abuse of Tanya Jackson of Waxahachie, Texas, who was 11 when she went missing on June 17, 2023. Jackson was found safe on July 15, 2023.
  12. On July 20, 2023, he, Hudspeth, Staples and Gords were arrested. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail in Dallas and placed on leave by the Red Oak ISD. He was charged with aggravated sex assault of a child, trafficking of a child and compelling prostitution by a minor. His total bond was set at $450,000. He denied all the accusations when WFAA interviewed him in November 2023.
  13. In January 2024, he turned 39.

  1. Has he committed any crimes before this? Something is not adding up about how he encountered the girl. The girl is mysteriously at a hotel then ran to a gas station. Was he found with the girl or did the girl just appears? This story needs a better explanation. There are several gaps or holes in the story.
