Peachtree City, Georgia’s Andrew Garrett Burke arrested by Floyd County deputies, denied bond

Andrew Garrett Burke, 27, of Peachtree City, Fayette County, Georgia, United States is accused of threatening to commit mass shooting. He also allegedly sent inappropriate photos of himself and multiple videos of himself engaging in sexual activities to someone he thought was a minor.

The alleged crimes took place over the course of three days, according to the office of the sheriff of Floyd County, Georgia. Burke allegedly sent graphic messages, a photo of his genitals and videos of himself masturbating to the person he believed was under the age of 16.

In a text message Burke sent on January 20, 2024, he allegedly said would go shoot up a school and kill a few people. It is unclear whether or not he mentioned a particular school.

On January 21, 2024, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Burke. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Burke was charged with making terroristic threats, obscene internet contact with a child and electronically furnishing obscene material to minors. The Peachtree City resident was denied bond by Judge Kevin Salmon.
