Carri Michele Arce Gorrell of Brandon, Rankin County, Mississippi, United States has died. She was 39.
Aside from Brandon, Gorrell has lived in other parts of Mississippi including Houston, Pittsboro and Woodland. Aside from Brandon, her husband Tyler Gorrell, 35, has lived in other parts of Mississippi including Florence, Georgetown and Houston.
Carri earned her associate’s degree from Holmes Community College in Goodman, Holmes County, Mississippi. From June 2009 to August 2014, she was a Walmart custom service manager.
At around 9:00 a.m. on January 27, 2024, Brandon Police Department officers arrived at Tyler and Carri’s residence on Rockford Court in Brandon. The officers responded to a call about an accidental death at the residence.
The officers found Carri, who had died from a gunshot wound. After talking to Tyler, officers became suspicious that he had killed her.
Tyler is accused of fatally shooting Carri. He was arrested and charged with murder, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and direction or causing a youth to commit a felony.
Bond for Tyler was set at $2,050,000. The case is still being investigated and he is expected to face more charges.
