Noel Ng Sing Guan is a Singaporean entrepreneur, hairdresser and beauty king. He first worked as a hair assistant before being promoted to stylist.

Ng went on to open his own salon. Here are 13 more things about him:

  1. In 2008, he started his National Institute of Technical Education Certificate (NITEC) course in hair fashion and design.
  2. In 2010, he was part of Singapore’s national team at the 8th WorldSkills Asean in Bangkok, Thailand where he won a gold medal. That year, he completed his first NITEC.
  3. In October 2011, he went to London, England, United Kingdom for the 41st WorldSkills Competition for Hairdressing and won a medallion for excellence.
  4. In 2012, he graduated with his second NITEC in hair and scalp therapy.
  5. He was Mister Global Singapore 2015 first runner-up and was later appointed Mister Global Singapore 2016.
  6. On May 6, 2016, he represented Singapore at Mister Global 2016 and competed against 29 other candidates at the Chiang Mai Hall in Chiang Mail Central Plaza Airport in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was fourth runner-up to Tomáš Martinka.
  7. On September 1, 2016, he, Haja Reethwan, Low Kang Li, Kim Nakyung and Quek Qiao Hui had a meeting where he shared how he got involved with hairstyling as a career and his past experiences working in different hair salons.
  8. In November 2016, he opened his salon called Harts Salon in Bugis, Singapore.
  9. In July 2017, he was second runner-up in the L’Oreal Professionnel Style & Colour Trophy 2017 (Singapore) hairstyling competition.
  10. On July 5, 2018, he served as a judge at the WorldSkills Singapore National Competition 2018.
  11. In August 2018, he visited Hong Kong.
  12. In June 2019, he and Harts Salon creative stylist Karl Ko taught balayage and reverse balayage techniques during a seminar at Milbon Philippines in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
  13. On September 5, 2023, he was the Milbon Singapore DA 2023 hairstyling competition grand prix winner.
  14. He was 31 years old when he shared his journey as a hairstylist in a Today Online article published on January 28, 2024.
