Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, 35, is a convicted sex offender originally from Afghanistan. He lived in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, England, United Kingdom while working in a pizza shop.

In 2016, Ezedi arrived in the U.K. from Afghanistan on the back of a lorry. That year, he applied for asylum and was refused.

In 2018, Ezedi was found guilty of sexual assault and exposure. Fox sexual assault, he received a nine-week jail term suspended for two years and for exposure, he received 36 weeks’ imprisonment to be served consecutively.

In 2020, Ezedi was discharged from probation supervision. That year, he was granted asylum after claiming to have converted to Christianity, which meant it would be dangerous for him to return to Afghanistan. It was his third attempt.

On lunchtime on January 30, 2024, Ezedi bought 30 eggs from a Middle Eastern food store near his residence in Newcastle. He smiled at staff behind the counter and paid in cash.

In the early hours of January 31, 2024, Ezedi drove to Clapham, London, England. At around 6:30 a.m., he was in the area of Tooting, London.

At around 4:30 p.m., Ezedi was seen in Croydon, London. At around 7:00 p.m., he was in Streatham, London.

At 7:25 p.m., Ezedi allegedly threw a corrosive alkaline substance at a woman, 31, and her two daughters, 8 and 3, on Lessar Avenue in Clapham. He was in a relationship with him.

By 8:00 p.m., Ezedi was at King’s Cross St Pancras tube station in London. At 9:33 p.m., he was seen leaving the Tower Hill underground station in London.

Authorities did not release the name of the woman Ezedi allegedly attacked. She is still in a hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Ezedi is still on the run. He was urged by his brother Sebaghallah Ezedi, 22, to give himself up to police.
