Brittani Bailey found inside Las Vegas Strip hotel room; Dandre Owens arrested

Brittani Bailey has died. She was 29.

Bailey spent the final moments of her life inside a hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip, a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada, United States. At around 1:56 a.m. on January 29, 2024, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the hotel about a welfare check.

The officers found Bailey unconscious inside the room. She had a gunshot wound to the head.

Medical personnel responded and pronounced Bailey dead at the scene. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Dandre Owens, 29, is accused of fatally shooting Bailey. On February 4, 2024, he was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers.

Owens was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon, carrying conceal weapon without a permit and possession of a gun by a prohibited person. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, Clark County.

On February 7, 2024, Owens will be back in court. How he and Bailey were related is still unclear.
