70 current, former NYCHA employees accused of bribery, extortion

Based in New York City, New York, United States, the New York City Housing Authority was formed on January 20, 1934. Lisa Bova-Hiatt has been the chief executive officer of the public development corporation since July 2023.

A total of 70 current and former NYCHA employees are accused of accepting cash payments from contractors in exchange for awarding contracts. Except four, all of the defendants were arrested on February 6, 2024 not only in New York but also in other parts of the U.S. including New Jersey, Connecticut and North Carolina.

Most of the defendants are from New York while the others are from New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina and Florida, USA. Here is the list:
