Chad Christopher Doerman is an American man from Monroe Township, Clermont County, Ohio, United States. He is Keith Doerman and Gloria Doerman‘s son.

One of Chad’s neighbors in Monroe Township is Richard Kincannon. Chad had a bad temper and verbally abused his wife Laura Hensley Doerman, Kincannon told WCPO.

“He was angry every day,” Kincannon said of Chad. “There wasn’t a day he didn’t yell at his wife and kids out there.”

After one of the games, New Richmond Sports Association president Kristin Bennett interacted with him. She told WLWT, “He was telling the boys to get in their car seats. Be safe. You would have not thought anything. Just normal typical conversations with another family on the ball field.”

At around 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2023, he lined up his sons Clayton, Hunter and Chase in the yard of their residence on Laurel Lindale Road in Monroe Township and used a Marlin Model HC .22 rifle to fatally shoot the three boys as his stepdaughter, then 14, fled screaming. He was arrested at the residence by Clermont County Sheriff’s Office deputies and booked into the Clermont County Jail in Batavia where he is being held on a $20 million cash bond.
  12. On June 16, 2023, he appeared in Clermont County Municipal Court in Batavia for his arraignment. He confessed to fatally shooting his three sons and planning the killings for months and was charged with three counts of aggravated murder.
  13. He is being held in the Clermont County Jail on a $20 million cash bond. The case against him is scheduled for a jury trial in Clermont County on July 8, 2024.
