Peter Collins Simpson, 28, is a former employee of the Boy Scouts of America. While employed by the organization, he was in a park in Molalla, Clackamas County, Oregon, USA on the evening of February 1, 2024.
At around 9:16 p.m., a Molalla Police Department officer on routine patrol approached a vehicle at the park. Simpson was the driver of the car.
The officer found a minor in the backseat of the car. The minor was not associated with the Boy Scouts of America.
Information provided by the minor led to Simpson’s arrest. He was charged with two counts of third-degree sex abuse
The Boy Scouts of America was informed about Simpson’s arrest. He is no longer employed by the organization.
Based in Irving, Dallas County, Texas, USA, the organization was founded on February 8, 1910. In 1922, it became a founding member organization of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
