Alyalia Chaibounmingkhouan, 19, of Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, United States has been arrested. She was booked into the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, Androscoggin County, Maine, USA.
On November 7, 2023, a warrant for Chaibounmingkhouan’s arrest was issued in North Carolina. She is accused of repeatedly stabbing a man as he was fighting with her boyfriend during a road rage incident.
Based in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service provided information to the Maine Violent Offender Task Force that Chaibounmingkhouan may have be in Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine. The MVOTF is comprised of members of the U.S Marshals Service, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, Maine State Police, Maine Department of Corrections and the police department of Biddeford, York County, Maine.
On February 8, 2024, U.S. Marshals arrested Chaibounmingkhouan without incident at a residence on Blake Street in Lewiston. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
Chaibounmingkhouan will be extradited back to North Carolina. She will be arraigned there on the outstanding charges.
