Bryan Vidal Lorenzo, 35, of Tamarac, Broward County, Florida, United States is a Broward County Sheriff’s Office sergeant. He was arrested at Miami International Airport in Miami-Dade County, Florida on February 13, 2024.
When Lorenzo’s flight arrived at the airport, he was in possession of suspected 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), commonly known as ecstasy. Customs and Border Protection officials found the drugs inside a ski pant pocket in his luggage.
The CBS officials advised the Miami-Dade Police Department about the drugs. Lorenzo was charged with possession of a controlled substance and importation of a controlled substance into Florida.
Lorenzo was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Miami-Dade County. On February 14, 2024, he appeared in bond court.
A judge required Lorenzo to attend drug counseling. He was released after posting a total bond of $5,000.
On June 3, 2023, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office hired Lorenzo. After his arrest, he was placed on administrative leave without pay.
