Hershey Mhae Senit, 19, Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines is competing for the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. As an epilepsy warrior, she wants to prove that sickness is not a hindrance but a catalyst for growth.
Senit is an alumna of Zamboanga del Sur National High School in Pagadian. She is Miss Zamboanga del Sur National High School 2019 and Miss Tourism Pagadian 2023.
On January 13, 2024, Senit served as a Hiyas ng Poblacion KumSur 2024 judge. On January 27, 2024, she was officially appointed Miss Universe Pagadian 2024.
Founded on March 23, 1937, Pagadian became a city on June 21, 1969. It is currently the wealthiest city in Mindanao, Philippines.
The venue and date of the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 have yet to be announced. Including Senit, a total of 55 women are vying for the title.
Representing Pagadian, Senit was officially introduced along with her fellow candidates on February 18, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Miss Universe 2021 top 5 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 28, and Ralph de Leon, 26, hosted the event.
Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, 35, attended the event along with Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon, 34, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, 28, and Miss Universe 2023 top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, 28. Since 2020, Supsup-Lee has been the national director of Miss Universe Philippines.
The same event served as the official coronation ceremony of Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 Alethea Ambrosio, Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines 2024 Blessa Figueroa, Miss Aura Philippines 2024 Isabelle de los Santos, Miss Eco Philippines 2024 Chantal Schmidt, Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2024 Hanna Uyan, Mister Supranational Philippines 2024 Brandon Espiritu, Mister Global Philippines 2024 Daumier Corilla, Mister International Philippines 2024 Justin Ong, Mister Cosmopolitan Philippines 2024 Emerson Gomez, Man of the Year Philippines 2024 Anthony Cunningham and Manhunt Philippines Male Supermodel 2024 Jordan San Juan.
