Residents of California, United States were arrested during Operation Heartbreak, a special detail conducted by the special victims unit of the office of the Tulare County, California sheriff just before Valentine’s Day.
Soon after detectives with the unit set up underage decoy accounts on social media, adults started contacting the decoys asking to meet in person for sex. Meeting times and locations were set up on February 12, 2024 and February 13, 2024.
Eight men were arrested as soon as they showed up to have sex with juveniles. All of the arrestees had prior knowledge that the purported juveniles they were supposed to meet were 15 years old.
The suspects were each charged with arranging to meet a child for lewd purposes. Here are their names, ages and residences:
- Donavyn Castro Escobedo, 25, Tulare
- Eleazar Olivarez, 26, Hanford
- Gambino Zacarias Alvarez, 39, Reedley
- Heraclio Nunez Gonzalez, 43, Visalia
- Jaden Rodriguez, 18, Visalia
- Luis Rincon Garcia, 26, Hanford
- Miguel Rivera, 27, Porterville
- Milton Martinez-Rodriguez, 22, Tulare
Tulare County was incorporated in 1852. Its county seat is Visalia.
Since 2013, Mike Boudreaux, 56, has been the Tulare County sheriff. He is currently the president of the California State Sheriff’s Association and is running for the U.S. House of Representatives seat, representing California’s 20th congressional district.
