Nicholas Trevon Jordan, 25, of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, United States has been arrested. He is accused of shooting Samuel Knopp of Parker, Douglas County, Colorado, USA and Celie Rain Montgomery of Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado.

Knopp was 24. He was originally from Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Both he and Jordan were students at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.

Montgomery was 26. She was not a UCCS student.

At around 6:00 a.m. on February 16, 2024, Knopp and Montgomery were found dead inside a room at the UCCS dormitory Crestone House. The gunman was not immediately captured.

In the evening, a warrant was issued for Jordan’s arrest. The Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force of the Colorado Springs Police Department actively looked for him.

At around 7:52 a.m. on February 19, 2024, Jordan was found in a vehicle at Cliff Point Circle East in Colorado Springs. At 8:37 a.m., he was detained by members of the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Motor Vehicle Theft Unit.

Jordan was booked into the El Paso County Jail in Colorado Springs. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
