Jenina Anne Lui, 21, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia is competing for the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. She is an audit analyst and a taekwondo athlete.
Lui attended the Tangara School for Girls in Cherrybrook, New South Wales. In February 2020, she entered the University of New South Wales in Sydney.
On October 2, 2022, Lui competed against six other Miss Philippines Australia and Charity Queen 2022 finalists at the Fairfield Showground in Prairiewood, New South Wales and won the title. It was part of the 32nd edition of the Sydney Grand Philippine Fiesta Kultura, an annual Filipino food and culture festival in Sydney.
Representing Sydney’s Filipino community, Lui was officially introduced along with her fellow Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidates on February 18, 2024 at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Miss Universe 2021 top 5 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez, 28, and Ralph de Leon, 26, hosted the event.
Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, 35, attended the event along with Miss Universe 2012 first runner-up Janine Tugonon, 34, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, 28, and Miss Universe 2023 top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, 28. Since 2020, Supsup-Lee has been the national director of Miss Universe Philippines.
The same event served as the official coronation ceremony of Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 Alethea Ambrosio, Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines 2024 Blessa Figueroa, Miss Aura Philippines 2024 Isabelle de los Santos, Miss Eco Philippines 2024 Chantal Schmidt, Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2024 Hanna Uyan, Mister Supranational Philippines 2024 Brandon Espiritu, Mister Global Philippines 2024 Daumier Corilla, Mister International Philippines 2024 Justin Ong, Mister Cosmopolitan Philippines 2024 Emerson Gomez, Man of the Year Philippines 2024 Anthony Cunningham and Manhunt Philippines Male Supermodel 2024 Jordan San Juan.
On May 22, 2024, the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Including Lui, a total of 55 women are vying for the title.
