Jacqueline Virginia “Jackie” Avery Loughery was an American actor and beauty queen raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, United States. She is the first ever Miss USA.

Loughery attended St. Francis Xavier for Academy for Young Ladies in Brooklyn. She was born in Brooklyn to Joseph Clark Loughery and Ellen Virginia Avery Loughery.

Joseph was a captain in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ellen was from a musical family in Brooklyn.
